We moved into our new offices in August 2001 and look forward to another great year of video production. Daryl started his career in 1985 as an intern at KGW TV's PM Magazine. He so impressed the station that they offered him a fulltime position as a videographer/editor on the program. He soon became a segment producer for the series producing, shooting and editing his own segments. He spent a total of 11 years with KGW TV. During that time he was nominated for three NATAS Emmys and won the prestigious award in 1993. It was during that time that Daryl met Gary Adams, who at that time was KGW TV's "Phantom Restaurant Reviewer" on the weekly show. Daryl produced this weekly segment with Gary for six years. It was continually judged one of the program's favorite segments by audience focus groups. In 1991 they won a King Broadcasting Company Encore Award. Together Gary and Daryl produced over 200 segments. Daryl left KGW TV in 1996 to work for KPTV 12 and the "Good Day Oregon" Show as the station's helicopter photographer shooting morning traffic and top new events. He also shoots for Post Up Productions and the Portland Trailblazers. At the same time Daryl started working with Gary Adams Productions as a photographer, producer and editor. As the company's senior videographer he participated on hundreds of commercial and promotional video productions. He has more than 10 national awards to his credit since working with Gary Adams Productions. Gary Adams sold his video production business to Daryl Mitchell in 2000.
